Shalini Singh
Hey there! So that’s me, Shalini. Just wanted to introduce myself.
I’ve always been partial to wine in the drinks department, so when I came across the James Beard scholarship to study Wine and Gastronomy management at Le Cordon Bleu, I jumped at the opportunity. The course was everything I expected and more. We learnt about viticulture, wine regions, wine production, wine trade and the best part? I got to taste thousands of wine to develop my palate.
While it’s always great to learn from the experts, if you can’t, don’t worry, there is an easier way (dare I say a cheat code?), to learn about the wonderful world of wines…drink drink drink. The more you drink, the more you know. The more you know the better you drink. It really is that simple.
This blog is my attempt to make wine approachable by sharing all my learnings and interesting information from the world of wine.
After spending six months in Spain exploring Spanish wines and wine regions, I am now in France until August 2023. I hope to continue to share more wine and travel stories here.
Thank you for joining me on this journey and do try to sample new wines whenever and wherever possible!
Cheers
